Plumble for Android HOWTO

Top Left > Settings > Authentication > Generate Certificate (can be left blank or filled out)

Settings > Audio > Transmit Mode > Push to Talk

Top right + > Label (your choice), Address: mumble.okitalk.com, Port (64738) > Username (your choice) > Password: leave empty

Kindly use headphones if possible and mute yourself when not talking to eliminate feedback - Mumble greatly reduces background noise but amplifies any sounds including mouse clicks and keyboards.


IPHONE directions

Get (free) mumble app.Open app.

Top left is preferences. Open

Set transmission to push to talk.

At or preferences bottom it says certificate. Generate one (your hall pass to get on the server)

Go to main menu.

At bottom it says favorite server. Click. At top it has a plus sign. Click.

The description can be whatever you want. The destination is (no http or www) mumble.okitalk.com

Port is 64738

Username is whatever you want but make it unique. Password is not needed

Go to main menu, click favorite server, click connect.

SIMPLE SETUP


Configure > Certificate Wizard (to Generate Certificate for server authentication (can be left blank or filled out))

Configure > Audio Wizard (Continuous/Push-to-Talk (recommended)/Voice Activation)

Disable Text-to-Speech (Configure>Settings>(left)Messages>(right)Text-To-Speech move slider to the left)

Server > Connect > New Favorite Server:

Label (your choice), Address: mumble.okitalk.com, Port (64738) > Username (your choice) > Password: leave empty

On Mac, you may need to allow apps from "identified developers" within your Security & Privacy settings or "open anyway" to run Mumble.

Configure > Audio Input > Audio Processing > Set Suppression & Amplification > Checkbox RNNoise (Noise Removal)

Configure > Settings > Messages > Set Text-to-Speech Volume to 0

~Set Keyboard Shortcut for Push-to-Talk/Toggle Mute
